Performance Evolution of Routing Protocols for MANETS Based on CBR and FTP Application Agents
نویسنده
چکیده
In wireless communication networks Ad-hoc networks are plays dominant role, Mobile Ad-hoc network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes that dynamically form a network temporarily without any central administration. The primary objective of this research work is to study and investigate the performance of Dynamic source routing (DSR) protocol and Minimum Maximum Battery Cost Routing (MMBCR).Energy efficient routing is one of the important design criterions for MANET since mobile nodes are battery powered with limited capacity and which cannot be recharged whenever needed. So the MANET routing is challenged by power and bandwidth constraints. We use Constant bit Rate (CBR) application with TCP agent and File transfer protocol (FTP) application with UDP agent to analyse the performance of routing protocols based on the parameters Energy Consumption and Node Analysis. We have used NS-2 Simulator for simulation.

Mobile Ad Hoc Networks (MANETs) are receiving a significant interest and are becoming very popular in the world of wireless networks and telecommunication. MANETs consist of mobile nodes which can communicate with each other without any infrastructure or centralized administration. In MANETs, the movement of nodes is unpredictable and complex; thus making the routing of the packets challenging....

In mobile ad hoc networks, the absence ofinfrastructure and the consequent absence of authorizationfacilities impede the usual practice of establishing a practicalcriterion to distinguishing nodes as trusted and distrusted.Since all nodes in the MANETs would be used as router inmulti-hop applications, secure routing protocols have vital rulein the security of the network. So evaluating the perf...

An ad hoc network is a collection of wireless mobile nodes forming a temporary network without the use of any preexisting topology, network infrastructure, or centralized administration. Every node in ad hoc network acts as a router, work as hop and forward data packets for other nodes. Routing is the key challenge in mobile ad hoc networks and challenge becomes more difficult and complicated w...
متن کاملA two-phase wormhole attack detection scheme in MANETs
Mobile ad-hoc networks (MANETs) have no fixed infrastructure, so all network operations such as routing and packet forwarding are done by the nodes themselves. However, almost all common existing routing protocols basically focus on performance measures regardless of security issues. Since these protocols consider all nodes to be trustworthy, they are prone to serious security threats. Wormhole...

Mobile Ad-hoc Network (MANET) is a collection of wireless mobile nodes dynamically forming a temporary network without the aid of any established infrastructure or centralized administration. The mobility of nodes in MANETs results in frequent changes of network topology making routing in MANETs a challenging task. Routing protocols in MANET helps node to send and receive packets. Some studies ...
